Do you have boyfriend?

It’s so weird…ever since I changed my job from an office girl to a college professor, I am getting questions regarding love life. They are asking if I am still single and if I am ready to mingle. To think that those questions were asked by my former professors who are now my colleagues, as they call it.

And my answer?

Simply the truth, that I still don’t have one and I don’t think I will be ready for one this time. As celebrities would always say “I’m gonna focus on my career first”.

Rollo's Heartwarming and So Touching Monologue

This is the translation of Rollo's Monologue in Code Geass' Complete Best Collection. I am so so so so so so so touched by what he said. Awwww.Rollo -___- Translation credit goes to [info]aya_kari

My time has stopped/come to an end.
My world was a gray wall until then. Niisan showed me a blue sky that pierced through it.
Niisan changed me and my world. Around Niisan, there was always a tomorrow different from today.
I didn’t know there could be a tomorrow different from today.
If that tomorrow turned into today, then the day after tomorrow is also different from today.
It was the first time of something like that [for me].
Niisan. While I was helping Niisan, I couldn’t understand why he was doing those kind of things.
For the sake of what was Niisan in such tough?
[He said] that wouldn’t it be nice that the two of us could always stay together, somewhere in a quiet place.
That that way we could be happy forever.
Not letting today stay the same.
Bringing a different tomorrow to the world.
That was what Niisan was to do, right?
I finally understood that in the end.
I wonder if I should have realised it sooner.
Niisan gave me a “tomorrow”.
Therefore, I will protect Niisan’s tomorrow.
Thank you.
My Niisan.
For giving me, who was empty, the light.

Oh Rollo. Why you always so touching stuff like this? It just makes me love you even moooorrreeeeeee.

Love Advice para kay Bartolome by Juan Ekis
Hakushaku to Yousei
[info]xtine06
ANG SULAT:
Dear Juan Ekis,

Roses? Kalachuchi? Chocnut at sampaguita?

In lab na po ako. Ano po ang gagawin ko? She is the one.

Bartolome

ANG REPLY:
Bartolome,

Ano ba pare? Ano’ng era ka ba pinanganak?

Pero don’t worry. It’s not too late. Mga medyo more than your usual regalong panligaw:

Tapos pabuksan mo in front of everyone.

Later during the day, pag tinanong niya kung bakit Century Tuna ang binigay mo, iikot mo yung lata at ituro mo yung sign na “Omega 8.” Pag tinanong niya kung ano yung Omega 8, sabihin mo: “because you’re good for my heart.”

Tapos, sa bawat hanger, isula mo: “I miss hanging out with you.”

Tapos bilugan mo yung “with Omega 8.” Hindi na siya magtatanong kung bakit.

5. Bigyan mo ng ice cream cone. Dapat cone lang at walang ice cream.

7. Bigyan mo siya ng mumurahing bumbilya. Alam mo na siguro by this time kung ano ang isasagot pag tinanong niya kung bakit.

My Favorite Song Right Now.
Hakushaku to Yousei
[info]xtine06
I just wanna post this one right now. I heard this song twice on the radio and it instantly got my attention. I am loving this song more and more because of its meaning. Well its something that I can relate to and that makes the song extra special.

There is no official music video yet and I only managed to get the live performance of Kyla at the Myx Music Awards 2009. The quality of the video is not so good but I can clearly hear the song and that's more important. Though its only a live performance, this video can make do for a while. The lyrics of this song is below:

Back In Time
by: Kyla featuring Jay- R

Jay R:
How have you been
The last time I saw you
We graduated high school
I think it’s been about 2 years since then

Kyla:
I’ve been okay
Nothing much has changed
Still doing the same old thing

Jay R:
May I take a little bit of your time

Kyla:
No, I don’t think that would be possible

Jay R:
Why do you have a boyfriend

Kyla:
No, I broke it off 2 months ago

Jay R:
Well, if you don’t mind
I’d like to get your number
And maybe reminisce together
Is that alright?

Kyla:
I don’t mind
Would love to get together
In fact tonight I’d rather
Go back in time

Chorus:
Go back into time now rewind
Back in the day
When nothing really mattered
Just let go let me take control
Just follow the signs
Let’s go back in time
Let’s go back in time
Let’s go back in time

Jay R:
Now here we are
Tell me everything about you
Where you do the things that you do
The things you like whatever is on your mind

Kyla:
I just bought a house
Been a half way round the world
Still not your ordinary girl

Jay R:
I’ve always have had a little crush on you

Kyla:
I can’t believe you felt that way too

Jay R:
And after all this time I still think I do

Kyla:
Boy for now just take me where I want to go

Repeat Chorus 2x

Instructions:
Insert the name of a character under the numbers from 1-20 in the order you think of them. Add comments or whatever you wish! Also, as you answer the questions, put the names of the characters in the parentheses ().

So my list goes:

1. Lelouch Lamperouge (Code Geass)
2. Rollo Lamperouge (Code Geass)
3. Fay D' Flowright (Tsubasa)
4. Naruto (Naruto)
5. Teito Klein (07Ghost)
6. Kaname Kuran (Vampire Knight)
7. Sai (Naruto)
8. Shinichi Kudo (Detective Conan)
9. Ryuu Amakusa (Tantei Gakuen Q)
10. Sebastian (Kuroshitsuji)
11. Watanuki (xxxHolic)
12. Yuuko Ichihara (xxxHolic)
13. Edward Elric (FMA)
14. Roy Mustang (FMA)
15. America (Hetalia)
16. England (Hetalia)
17. Italy (Hetalia)
18. Bishop Castor (07Ghost)
19. Doumeki (xxxHolic)
20. Takuto Kira (Full moon wo Sagashite)

Questions:
♦ 01 (Lelouch Lamperouge) and 12 (Yuuko Ichihara) are chatting in a coffee shop.

This is interesting. Lelouch chatting with the Dimension witch? It might end with Lelouch asking Yuuko to grant his wish. I think this encounter with Yuuko would speed up Lelouch's plans. Now I wonder, would Yuuko be affected by the power of Geass??? Interesting! :)

♦ 03 (Fay D' Flowright) and 07 (Sai) are throwing eraser dots at each other.

Fay would probably evade those eraser dots gracefully just as how he always did and Sai would probably refer to his friendship book and see how throwing eraser dots help in improving relationship with other people.

♦ 10 (Sebastian) and 14 (Roy Mustang) are forever rivals.

Rivals?? I would be a tough one. Sebastian and Mustang are people who don't want to give up easily. I can imagine them going against each other! :))

♦ Something awakens within 18 (Bishop Castor ) after seeing 16 (England).

What could awaken in Bishop Castor when he saw England??? I can't think of any. Haha.

♦ 06 (Kaname Kuran) is 09 (Ryuu Amakusa)'s servant. However, it seems that the one who brought that about was 20 (Takuto Kira).

Kaname-sama serving Ryuu Amakusa??? OMG. Kaname-sama is a stubborn person and would only serve for Yuuki's sake. But Takuto role fits him...he seemed to mess up Kaname-sama's fate. Nice!

♦ 13 (Edward Elric) and 20 (Takuto Kira) are forced to do a Pocky Game. (This is when two people share a stick of Pocky. Each person has one end in his/her mouth, and...Well, I'm sure you can guess where this will end up.)

Both of them would probably throw up :)) Hahahaha.

♦ 02 (Rollo Lamperouge) is struggling to open a bottle that just won't open, and 19 (Doumeki) is watching this with an amused expression on his face.

Doumeki having an amused face???? Well, that's something. And I am fangirling over Rollo who struggles to open a bottle and I think he is calling out for his Nii-san while opening the bottle. Kawaiiiiiiii * ___*

♦ 07 (Sai) and 08 (Shinichi Kudo) (untranslated. but based on the online translator thingy, a part of the line means something like "07 and 08 are staring at a line of ants..." I'm not sure about the rest.)

Given that Shinichi's IQ is way above average....I think he would probably do all the talking and explain to Sai the logic of why the ants are behaving that way,

♦ 15 (America), 05 (Fai), and 14 (Teito Klein) are playing house. Incidentally, 15 (America) is the wife, 05 (Teito Klein) is the husband, 10 (Sebastian) is the son, and 14 (Roy Mustang) is the husband's mistress.

America as a wife?? OMG. He will end up as the HERO mother and would feed his family with burger and cola. And their son is so multi-talented and can do anything. They will be so so proud. LOL to Roy Mustang as the mistress.. Maybe America was amused with Roy's flame alchemy and how he produces flames in a SNAP! Haha. This is a perfect family! LOL.

♦ 11 (Watanuki) and 16 (England) are going to hold a chocolate fondue tournament tomorrow.

They will win. Watanuki who cooks well and England will present the fondue to the judges. This is a good combination. Sure win!

♦ 04 (Naruto), 20 (Takuto Kira), 09 (Ryuu Amakusa) and 11 (Watanuki) are planning to go on a double date.

They might end up having their date at Ichiraku Ramen. Takuto will probably sing, Watanuki would help in cooking and the tab will be placed on Ryuu Amakusa. Hahaha.

♦ 01 (Lelouch Lamperouge) and 06 (Kaname Kuran) have begun a strip version of rock-paper-scissors, and 04 (Naruto) is watching without saying a word.

Oh shocks. Two hot guys stripping. Hahaha. I just wish I am in Naruto's place. But I guess the reason why Naruto is not saying a word because he is geassed by Lelouch  with "do not say a word"! Hahaha.

EDIT: Spring Anime Watching ~as of April 20, 2009~
Chibi Rollo
[info]xtine06
This new anime season is so full of series that are interesting to watch. (I really didn't much liked the previous season so I was a little shocked with all the torrent that I need to download in a day. Whew!) Well, after having around 2 weeks of selecting which anime to watch, I was able to come up with 10 new anime series to follow:
  • Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
  • Phantom
  • K-ON
  • Pandora Hearts
  • Tears to Tiara
  • Cross Game
  • Valkyria Chronicles
  • Hanasakeru Seishounen
  • 07- Ghost
  • La Corda d' Oro Second Passo
  • Eden of the East
  • Hatsukoi Limited
Among the list, my top one right now is 07-Ghost!!!! I am reading the manga right now and I on Chapter 25. I will soon catch up with the latest release. Yey! I can't choose who to like since I freakin' LOVE all of them: Teito, Mikage, Hakuren, Frau, Castor, Labrador. I adore all of them! Waaaaaaaaaaaa....... ^^;
My anime list goes longer and longer longer........................... Not to mention I have lots of pending anime that I want to watch ASAP. So many to watch, so little time.
So now, gotta go and I'm gonna resume readong 07-Ghost. Ja :)

Gundam 00 Season 2 Episode 25
Lelouch Lamperouge
[info]xtine06
I just finished watching the last episode of Gundam 00 last night. As expected, it was action-packed and are really great. Butttttttttt.....I am not that satisfied with the ending. Good thing to know that there will be a movie  next year. Hopefully, the movie will provide a better closure to the series. The screenshot of the announcement is below:

Anyway, the main thing that I want to say is that I DON'T BELIEVE THAT RIBBONS IS ALREADY DEAD. Duh?! There is no confirming scene that he indeed died from that explosion. I would have so believed that the villain is dead, given that the villain is not Ribbons. But we are talking about Ribbons Almark -- the man who can't accept that he is just an Innovado (sorry, just felt like saying Innovado....). With this, I am looking forward for another Setsuna/Gundam Meister/Celestal Being clash with Ribbons and his group. (I am saying group because I am certain that Ribbons will take this time to redeem himself and make sure that he can come back alive and kickin'. ) Below is the screenshot of the explosion from Setsuna and Ribbon's fight.

Another thing that I want to mention is the Patrick- Kati Nuptials! Gosh... I really though that Patrick died. But good thing he was alive though and to think that he would get married to Kati??! It's really unexpected for me. I am excited to see on how will this newly weds affect the flow of the story in the movie. But for now, Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Collaseur! Here is thier wedding picture. Kati looks really cute and girly! Love it! <3

Moving on..... I am kinda disappointed that Graham only had a two-second appearance. He seems to be with Billy as he continues his research. Hopefully, the movie next year would show more of Graham. I think his encounter with Setsuna is not yet over. So I am crossing all fingers that in the movie, Graham's character would have the closure that it deserves to have. For now, be contented with Graham's precious two second appearance and look forward to see him next year (he should be there!).

One final major thing. I am now officially a fan of the Stratos Brothers! Yehey! I like both of them but my favorite is Lyle. I was mesmerized by his looks when he visited his family's and Anew's grave. He is so so so so so cool. And finally...he uttered the words that I wanted to hear from him for a very long time. He quitted Katharon and joined Celetal Being FULL TIME. Nice nice nice! No offense to Katharon but I believe that Lyle's ability and cuteness and coolness will be much more appreciated is he is with Celestal Being. Hahaha.

Overall 00 is an interesting and entertaining series. The second season proved to be much more better than the first one. The fight scenes are so cool and nice to watch and the gundam units in the second season are much much better than the first one. However, I liked that Exia was still the gundam that did the finishing blow to Ribbons and not the 0-Gundam. Afterall, Exia is Setsuna's original gundam. I didn't expect that Exia would make an appearance in the last minute. Nice nice nice!

If I would compare Code Geass and Gundam 00, I would still prefer Code Geass. But both are promising and great series. Speaking of Code Geass....

WHY IS JUPITER HERE? Would this open a possibility for a Gundam 00 - Code Geass crossover?
Now the fangirl in me is thinking of a number of possible points where the two can meet and I tell you I am getting more and more excited. Gosh!

Remembering the Good Old Highschool and College Dayzzz....
Chibi Rollo
[info]xtine06
Last Saturday, I bought a copy of Bob Ong's ABNKKBSNPLAKo?! with [info]sapphire_pyro . We watched the movie Watchmen and afterwards, we ate at Congo Grille and then headed to National Bookstore to buy books. She bought a lot of books while I only decided to buy Bob Ong's. The book is just a thin and I managed to finish it just yesterday, Sunday. The book was all about experiences at school, beginning from preschool to elementary, to high school to college and even until at work. While reading I got to remember my childhood days (shocks, I feel so old!) and all the experiences that I had before. I really do not have a vivid memory of my gradeschool days. They are so so long ago. It was around the 1990's so almost a decade has passed. What's fresher on my mind are my high school and college days, which I believe are the best parts of my school life.

Anyway, I had my highschool at St. Paul College of Paranaque. Most people who know me, know this fact as well. I am a proud Paulinian and will always be! It is at this stage where I learned on how to relate with people and the I had the need of belongingness. Way back at high school, I really do not have lots of friends but I managed to have a few who are true and sincere. (College friends people, please believe me on this! Hahaha. ^__^). The me when I was on high school was more secretive and private and I prefer to not have people looking at me. I also prefer to stay in the background and enjoy its glory. But then, I was still the same jolly and talkative me to my close friends. Still, I get to surprise people of my true personality once I get to know them. (Now college friends, you can now agree..^__^). It was also in high school that I got the freedom to go out with my friends, given that I will just ask for permission and I will go home before night falls. Since I am a good girl, I rarely get into trouble with my mom. Maybe around 2 out 10 cases. Most of the time, it was the traffic's fault that I got home late and so I got scolded and traffic is a very LAME reason for my parents to consider. Traffic is not so valid reason nowadays. There's also one thing that I had experienced when I was in high school but I am too shy to share probably because it is a part of the biggest regrets I have even up to now. But hey, I have moved on and its like a dead star moment every time I remember my high school life. Its the sweetest experience for me and yet, it all ended there because of my damn silliness. Oh well, past is past so I shall continue.

On to my college days, it's really the best! For me, its a new start so I get to be more of myself when I entered DLSU. Aside from being a Paulinian, I am also a proud La Sallian. Animo La Salle! Anyway, this is where I get to experience a lot of things, got to do things I haven't done before and even reached things which I thought was impossible. Similar to high school, I gained friends and I think my set of friends are bigger at college than in high school. Of course, there will always be the chosen few who knows me inside and out. They are my SISTERS! Well, the three of them have Lj accounts, they are [info]kixine , [info]sapphire_pyro and [info]fluffy_penguini . The other one do not have Lj account but nonetheless, she is still my dear sister! Due to academic and personal reasons, I got to different places, both near and far and thus, we had our own little adventures. We had overnights and day outs where we spend time to watch movies, play at timezone, and to of course eat. Also. recognition is something that I won't forget when I was at college. I had the opportunity to be recognized together with my thesis mates at different occasions and they are all big surprises and miracles for all of us. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! *bows*.

And so right now, I am at the job hunting stage with [info]fluffy_penguini . Aside from being a sister, she's my job hunting buddy! We go to different companies together and had exams, interviews and other stuffs. We have one target company right now and so we are crossing our fingers so that that company will call us REAL SOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNN :)

hetalia episode 7.
Hakushaku to Yousei
[info]xtine06
I know I said in this post that the 6th episode of hetalia is the best for me. BUT.........everything has changed since I saw the 7th episode last night. Its now the 7th episode that I love. There are a LOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTTT of reasons why I sooooooo love hetalia episode 7:

  • AAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMEEEEEERRRRIIIIIIIIIICCCCCCCCCCCAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! I so love this guy! He has more screen time in this episode and he got to speak longer lines. Hoooray!

  • America...Don't talk while your mouth is busy. Well it can't be helped for a person with lots of ideas and wants to be a HERO! So little time to speak sooooo...he talks while he eats/drinks. I also would like to mention his favorites (and perhaps the only food he eats!), Hamburger and Soda!

  • EEEENNNNGGGGGLLLLLAAAAANNNNDDDDD! My 2nd favorite character. So glad to hear you speak again. So coooollll!

  • Sweet brothers~~~~ :) Both of them are my 3rd favorite characters! They look so cute, especially when Feliciano hugged Lovino. Awwwwwww.... <3

  • The most hilarious part of the episode. Lovino hiding at Germany's back is so so so funny! Of all places. Why hide there. And France did had his special moments too. Hiding in the sewage to surprise Germany made me laugh too. I kinda not expected France to endure the sewage. Can't imagine how he managed. Hahaha.
  • This is the most adorable scene. They both so cuuuuttteeeeeee ^^; Feliciano's smile is so adorable and a crying Lovino is adorable tooooo~

  • More cuteness and adorableness and awesomeness at Chibitalia. Chibitalia is still as cute as ever. I wanna hug him toooo~~
  • Finally, I will not fail to miss this one....HRE has a PINK pillow!!!!!!!!!! I sooo love him....we share our tastes with pillowsssssss.....amazing!
I am so excited to see the 8th episode. I wanna have more Allied Forces. More America, more England!!! Weeee~~~ :)

Cellphones and Relationships.
Kuran Kaname and Kuran Yuuki
[info]xtine06
I feel so luck having been able to use cellular phones and have an internet connection to do emails and chat. In our modern times, communication is not a big problem anymore. With the onset of cellular phones and text messaging, talking to an another person is just a fingertip away. In the same way, if you are online, you can easily message the person you want talk to through messengers like YM and MSN. If you want to write a letter, you can always do an email and send it to the receiver. Nowadays, communication is not so challenging anymore not to mention that its cheap.

I had this realizations after watching the anime movie, 5 Centimeters Per Second. If you want a summary, then google it. (Too lazy to copy and paste! Basically, its a movie about distance. The two protagonists, the male and the female are separated due to a number of reasons. For example, because of work, the male's parents always relocate and travel and so does their son. He is kinda used to transferring schools. Then she met the female and they fell in love. They kept contact with each other through letters and mails and so it would take at least 2 long weeks just to get an update with each other. Time passed and the male's parents need to transfer to a very far place and as life gets busier, so little time left to write a letter. Eventually, they lost contact with each other and lead their own lives. The male is still in love with the girl despite the time that passed and is still desperately searching for her. Of course, the guy had already his cellphone and he can't use it since he didn't know the number of the girl. He just compose messages and would then delete it since he has no one to send it to. One day, while walking, as if by work of fate, they crossed paths in the railroad. But when they realized that they know each other and decided to turn back, again, as if by fate, the train passed and they failed to see each other. After the train passed, the guy saw that the girl is not there anymore, perhaps she continued her walk. The male just smiled and also continued walking. The End.

If those two were born in a more modern world, then the story would not be the same. Most probably, they can still contact each other no matter how far one is. It's really hard to maintain contact if its through snail mails and letters. I have been in that stage too, using letters to communicate. I have friends who have migrated abroad and at first, we tried our best to send pictures and letters. Sending letters are expensive and would require an effort from you. I remember that I need to send a Christmas card a month before Christmas since I need to give an allowance so that the letter would arrive just in time for the season. It was around early 2000 then, just when text messaging is starting to boom. Right now, we do not send those mails anymore. We talk via YM and would show pictures through friendster. This way, we can exchange photos for free and we can send as many pictures as we like. So even though she is in UK and I am in the Philippines, it's just like we are near each other.

Because we now have faster means to communicate, the relationships that we have with other people is much more easier to maintain and nourish. May it be romantic relationships or a friendly one, our need for communication is now answered by the technologies available for all of us. A piece of advise though, it would not hurt to be careful to the people that we will meet online or by text. Some people are abusing these technologies for their own personal greediness. Be smart with all the people that you will meet. :)

Bob Ong Quotable Quotes
Hakushaku to Yousei
[info]xtine06
Grabbed from Stacey's multiply.

"Mag-aral maigi.

hetalia episode 6.
Kuran Kaname and Kuran Yuuki
[info]xtine06
The sixth episode of hetalia is the funniest episode for me so far! Here's why:

  • I get to see America and the other Allied Forces people too. !!!! Yey! I last saw them during the first episode so I am so excited to at least see a glimpse of all of them especially my oh so dear America! Hooooorrrraaaaaayyyyyy!
  • UK sang a song. Hahahaha. It's a song about marshmallows. The lyrics goes...."The fire flares up, and burns it to a crisp. Enflames it from side to side and burns it to a crisp. It leaves not a trace-" Sadly, the song was cut because America interrupted with "I feel like we're summoning a devil or something!!!" Hahahahahahaha!!!! He sounded creepy and dark but it was still funny!
  • Germany wearing a patched underwear is so so so hilarious! Hahaha. Austria made him wear those underwear in honor of Franz Joseph I, an Austrian emperor who treasures his clothes and wear them no matter what they looked like. So even if the underwear already has a hole...Austria really gave an effort to patch the hole to make it wearable again. Talk about being resourceful! =))
  • Austria playing a Chopin to express how disappointed and angry he is that Germany allied with Italy. I really don't get why Austria played the piano but I loved how he plays. I didn't know that Austria is musically gifted!
  • Still about Austria...he is actually stranded in the island together with Japan, Italy and Germany. Of course he is on his piano. I dunno how did he manage to make the piano float on the sea but he did provided a good musical background for them. No wonder Germany ended up being surprised. Haha!
  • And finally...Chibitalia is stilll sooo (kawaiii!!!)
Hopefully next episode will feature more of the Allied Forces. I miss them terribly! It makes the show much more enjoyable for me. But nonetheless, hetalia is still a very refreshing watch each week even though it's only for 5 minutes

quick post.

Scheduled Disney's Animated Films (2008-2012)
Sebastian
[info]xtine06
Even at the age of 20 (well..will turn 21 soon. go figure when!), I am still fond of watching Disney films. Childish as it may sound, the films produced by Walt Disney are all heart warming and something that I can watch with my family and friends. Every time there is a Walt Disney film in the movies, I would really make sure that I will watch it together with my siblings or with my friends. That's why I am excited when I saw the article at http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=43815 about the upcoming animated films that Disney will produce together with Pixar Animation Studios.

For the past year 2008, two animated films had already debuted in the big screen. The first is Wall-E, which is about the story of Wall- E and his encounters with the sleek search robot named EVE. Wall-E has accidentally stumbled upon they key to earth's future and together with EVE, they races back to space to report the discovery to the humans who are waiting for a long long time to return to Earth. Moving on, the second movie for the year 2008 is Bolt, which features the voice of Miley Cyrus and John Travolta. The film's plot centers around a small white dog named Bolt who, having spent his entire life on the set of a television series, thinks that he has super powers. When he believes that his human, Penny, has been kidnapped, he sets out on a cross-country journey to "rescue" her.

So much for the year 2008. Now for the year 2009, Disney will premier a bunch of new movies for us to enjoy!

1. UP

From the Academy Award®-nominated team of director Pete Docter ("Monsters, Inc.") and co-director Bob Peterson comes "Up," a comedic adventure taking off (and lifting spirits) in summer 2009. Carl Fredricksen spent his entire life dreaming of exploring the globe and experiencing life to its fullest. But at age 78, life seems to have passed him by, until a twist of fate (and a persistent 8-year old Wilderness Explorer named Russell) gives him a new lease on life. "Up" takes audiences on a thrilling journey where the unlikely pair encounter wild terrain, unexpected villains and jungle creatures. When seeking adventure next summer -- look "Up."

2. TOY STORY in 3-D
Originally released by Walt Disney Pictures in 1995, "Toy Story" was the first feature film from Pixar Animation Studios and director John Lasseter. The film went on to receive Oscar® nominations for Best Original Score, Best Original Song, and Best Original Screenplay, and earned Lasseter a Special Achievement Award (Oscar®) "for the development and inspired application of techniques that have made possible the first feature-length computer-animated film." The 3-D version of this landmark film is being personally overseen by Lasseter with his acclaimed team of technical wizards handling all the necessary steps in the conversion process.

3. THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG

When the free-spirited, jazz-loving Prince Naveen of Maldonia comes to town a deal with a shady voodoo doctor goes bad and the once suave royal is turned into a frog. In a desperate attempt to be human again, a favor in exchange for a fateful kiss on the lips from the beautiful girl, Tiana, takes an unexpected turn and leads them both on a hilarious adventure through the mystical bayous of Louisiana to the banks of the almighty Mississippi and back in time for Mardi Gras in New Orleans.

An unforgettable tale filled with music, humor and heart where two frogs—along with the help of a 200-year-old voodoo priestess, a love-sick Cajun firefly, and a trumpetplaying alligator—discover that what they want isnt as important as what they need.

The Princess and The Frog will feature Disneys first African American princess, Tiana, who lives in New Orleans during the Jazz Age. Other characters include Louis, a trumpet-playing alligator, and Ray, a love-sick Cajun firefly.

The Princess and The Frog marks the return to hand-drawn animation from the revered team of John Musker and Ron Clements with music by Oscar®-winning composer Randy Newman (Monsters, Inc., Cars, Toy Story).

For the year 2010, Disney movies seems to be promising too. They also have a couple of movies set to premiere two years from now. Trailers are not yet out. Maybe by next year teasers will be out.

1. TOY STORY 2 in 3-D
Originally released in 1999, "Toy Story 2" went on to become one of the most popular animated features of all time. The film picks up as Andy is heading off to Cowboy Camp and the toys are left to their own devices. When an obsessive toy collector named Al McWhiggin (owner of Al's Toy Barn) kidnaps Woody, and Woody learns that he's a highly valued collectable from a 1950s TV show called "Woody's Roundup," the stage is set for a daring rescue attempt by the gang from Andy's room. The film introduced such other memorable characters from "Woody's Roundup" as Jessie the cowgirl, Bullseye the horse, and the Prospector.

2. TOY STORY 3
The creators of the beloved "Toy Story" films re-open the toy box and bring moviegoers back to the delightful world of Woody, Buzz and our favorite gang of toy characters in "Toy Story 3." Lee Unkrich (co-director of "Toy Story 2" and "Finding Nemo") directs this highly anticipated film, and Michael Arndt, the Academy Award®-winning screenwriter of "Little Miss Sunshine," brings his unique talents and comedic sensibilities to the proceedings.

3. RAPUNZEL
In this new telling of the classic fairy tale, "Rapunzel," audiences will be transported to a stunning CG fantasy world complete with the iconic tower, an evil witch, a gallant hero and, of course, the mysterious girl with the long golden tresses. Expect adventure, heart, humor, and hair ... lots of hair, when Rapunzel unleashes her locks in theaters for the 2010 holiday.

Next is the year 2011. A lot is in store for this year. New movies, new plots, new stories to enjoy.

1. NEWT
What happens when the last remaining male and female blue-footed newts on the planet are forced together by science to save the species, and they can't stand each other? That's the problem facing Newt and Brooke, heroes of "newt," the Pixar film by seven-time Academy Award® winner for sound Gary Rydstrom, and director of Pixar's Oscar-nominated short, "Lifted." Newt and Brooke embark on a perilous, unpredictable adventure and discover that finding a mate never goes as planned, even when you only have one choice. Love, it turns out, is not a science.

2. THE BEAR AND THE BOW
A rugged and mythic Scotland is the setting for Pixar's action-adventure "The Bear and the Bow." The impetuous, tangle-haired Merida, though a daughter of royalty, would prefer to make her mark as a great archer. A clash of wills with her mother compels Merida to make a reckless choice, which unleashes unintended peril on her father's kingdom and her mother's life. Merida struggles with the unpredictable forces of nature, magic and a dark, ancient curse to set things right. Director Brenda Chapman ("The Prince of Egypt," "The Lion King") and the storytelling wizards of Pixar conjure humor, fantasy and excitement in this rich Highland tale.

Finally is my long-awaited 2012. Even though it is still far away, I am already excited for the movies that Disney is planning to show!

1. CARS 2
All the world's a racetrack as racing superstar Lightning McQueen zooms back into action, with his best friend Mater in tow, to take on the globe's fastest and finest in this thrilling high-octane new installment of the "Cars" saga. Mater and McQueen will need their passports as they find themselves in a new world of intrigue, thrills and fast-paced comedic escapades around the globe. "Cars 2" is being directed by Brad Lewis, producer of the Oscar®- winning film "Ratatouille."

2. KING OF THE ELVES
Legendary storyteller Phillip K. Dick's short story (his only experiment in the fantasy genre) becomes the basis for this fantastic and imaginative tale about an average man living in the Mississippi Delta, whose reluctant actions to help a desperate band of elves leads them to name him their new king. Joining the innocent and endangered elves as they attempt to escape from an evil and menacing troll, their unlikely new leader finds himself caught on a journey filled with unimaginable dangers and a chance to bring real meaning back to his own life.

So that's it. Lots of new movies to watch. I will definitely catch all of them when they premier in the big screen...starting with the movie UP! :)

FREE iPhone 3G!!!!!

Apple's iPhone 3G

Dear friends, check out this news. iPhones are given away in Japan for FREE. Yes....you read it right. It's for FREE! News can be found here.

According to the news, starting today, Friday til May 31, 2009, Japan's wireless carrier Softbank is giving away iPhone 3G 8GB for free. Subscribers need to sign up for a two-year contract with the said network carrier and they can get an iPhone absolutely for free. The contract will be at around $45 per month instead of the regular prized $60. Talk about big big big savings! This is under Softbank's "iPhone for everybody" campaign.

However, Apple has already released an iPhone with 16GB memory capacity and Softbank will be offering it at a very low discounted price of 11,520 yen or around $119. Regular prize for the iPhone 16GB is $350 while the iPhone 8GB is at around $230. They are also open for installement mode of payment so almost everybody can now afford to have an iPhone.

Crunchgear is saying that iPhone is not doing well in the Japanese market so its a marketing strategy for Softbank to entice subscribers to get their own iPhone unit. Meanwhile, AppleInsider is seeing this as a move of Softbank to clear their inventories of the old iPhone model to give way to the newer next generation iPhone which is rumored to be released in June of this year. Though the sales data of iPhone in Japan is yet to be released by Apple, it is speculated by Ars Technica that Softbank is using this as a strategy to reach an agreed  sales quota that they had with Apple, especially that the global economic crisis is plaguing the world economy.

On the other hand, AT&T,a premier communications provider in the US has yet to offer any promos or discounts.

Nevertheless, if you are a eyeing to have an iPhone and is in Japan right now, lucky you! iPhone is just within your reach.

* I swear, if Smart (sorry..smart subscriber..) will offer the same here in the Philippines, I'm gonna go and grab that opportunity already. I don't mind having a contract of 2 years. I am a postpaid subscriber for almost 4 years so a 2-year deal is no biggie for me. Haha.

Job Hunting Realizations.
Chibi Rollo
[info]xtine06
Finding a job is like finding a needle in a hay stock. Nowadays, it' really hard to find a job especially that there is the global financial crisis plaguing the world. It just made job hunting twice as hard. Some companies are freeze-hiring especially those that are directly affected by the financial crunch.

Modesty aside, I graduated with a citation of Honorable Mention from De La Salle University- Manila. My grades generally above average and I do not have any failures, not to mention that our group was able to win in the recently concluded Globe Labs Challenge. Even though you carry a lot of positive credentials, job hunting is still not as easy as counting 1,2,3.

Now, I do not intend to brag about me. I just said those things as an introduction to what I really want to share. Last Saturday, I went to Metrobank's career day with a couple of friends and I had my initial interview with the HR. My interview was about to end and I was just waiting for the HR to finish accomplishing my evaluation form, I kinda eavesdropped to the other interview happening at my left. From what I heard, the guy being interviewed is explaning to the HR about his failing grades. The guy seems to be desprately explaining the reason why he failed at that particular subject. He is already at a loss of words, he is starting to tatter while the HR stares at his TOR. I don't know how his interview ended as my own evaluation form is now finished and I was already asked to proceed to the next table. I think his started his own interview first and I ended up finishing before him.

When I think about it, I pity the guy and at the same time be grateful of my achievements. I have been to a couple of interviews since last year and the most common question is "Do you have any failing grades?" (aside from the undying describe yourself stuff...). Fortunately, I was blessed with the capacity to answer Yes but how about those who have failing grades? Of course, they will answer No but some companies, it would be taken against you. Some companies would really prefer people with good academic standing and that means no failing grades. Most companies that I have been with would really prefer applicants with good academic standing. Most likely, you will not be referred to a second or follow-up interview. This is according to some of the hiring managers that I had already interviewed me.

As to guy I referred to above, I have no idea if he made it to the second interview. I just hope he does. And same goes to the other applicants who share the same fate as him. Job hunting is really challenging task and it is really a heart breaking to get rejected by a company. After all the trouble of going there and after wearing a business attire....hay! It's troublesome.

To people who is in the same situation with the guy I mentioned above and have accidentally read my post, do not give up and be hopeful. The perfect job would surely come to you. It might be tough and challenging but in the end, you will surely find a company to belong to.

Wait, was my advice also applicable to me?
